POSTCODE 3000 PROJECT

We are well on the way to launch the Postcode 3000 project with the setting up of 1000 shiraz rootlings. that will be transplanted into the 12 inch hydroponic pots at the end of this growing season.

The plan is to locate the shiraz vineyard in a central location in the heart of Melbourne ( on the roof of a highrise). Floor loadings are minimal and the overall water consumption is considerably less than conventional irrigated vineyards. Space requirements are minimized as the proposed planting will only take up about half a square metre per vine.

Another advantage of this style vineyard is that there is no requirement for herbicides as there are no problems from weeds.
